1. CYPRUS’S VISIT
At the invitation of the President of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, PM Modi paid an official visit to Cyprus.

of Cyprus. The PM dedicated it to the 140 crore Indians and the friendship
between India and Cyprus.

neighboring countries who are fighting to have control over Cyprus – Never
Ending Dispute.
2. Canada – G7 SUMMIT
At the summit, PM Modi exchanged views with G7
heads of states, other invited outreach countries and heads of international
organisations on global issues, “including energy security, technology and
innovation, particularly the AI-energy nexus and Quantum-related issues.
G7 Summit agenda this
year was also focused on on the Israel-Iran conflict. PM Narendra Modi held
discussions with various stakeholders on the issue and express India’s stance
on dialogue and diplomacy as the way forward.
PM Narendramodi participated in the Outreach Session on Energy Security at the 51st G7Summit in Kananaskis, Canada.
In his address, PM highlighted
the need to ensure energy security for all through a sustainable & green
pathway and elaborated upon 🇮🇳’s global initiatives
such as ISA, CDRI & the Global Biofuels Alliance, towards this objective.
Calling for attention to the concerns and priorities of the Global South, he noted that 🇮🇳 took it as its responsibility to bring the voice of the Global South to the world stage.
PM reiterated 🇮🇳’s stand against
terrorism & thanked the leaders for condemning the ghastly Pahalgam terror
attack. He urged them to galvanize global action against terrorism &
underlined the need to take strict action against those who promote &
support terrorism.
PM also highlighted 🇮🇳’s experience in
democratizing use of technology and its human-centric approach in deploying it.
He called for addressing global
governance issues to tackle concerns of AI and to promote innovation in the
field.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Italian counterpart, Giorgia Meloni, met on the sidelines of the G7 summit in Canada.
The two leaders greeted each
other with a handshake, with Prime Minister Modi saying, "India's
friendship with Italy will continue to get stronger."
Meanwhile, in a warm exchange,
Prime Minister Meloni told Prime Minister Modi,
"You are the best. I am
trying to be as you."
3. Visit to Croatia
Croatia is a country located
in Southeastern Europe, bordering the Adriatic Sea. It's known for its stunning
coastline, rich history, and vibrant culture.
Croatia has a diverse
landscape, from mountains to beaches, and a strong cultural heritage influenced
by its history as part of various empires and civilizations.

MODI was given a ceremonial welcome in Zagreb, Croatia. Croatia's Indian community has contributed to Croatia's progress and also remained in touch with their roots in India. In Zagreb, Modi interacted with some members of the Indian community, who accorded me an unforgettable welcome. There was immense enthusiasm among the Indian community here about this visit and its impact in making the bond between our nations stronger than ever before!

India, Croatia decided to firm
up a defence cooperation plan following PM talks.
PM Modi said a 'defence
cooperation plan' will be made for long-term cooperation in the defence sector,
which will focus on training and military exchange as well as defence industry.
In their talks, the two prime
ministers also agreed on the importance of improving connectivity, including
through the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC).
Croatia can serve as India’s
gateway into Central and Southeastern Europe.
The two sides also decided to
soon finalise a mobility agreement to facilitate the movement of people.
The PM said, Croatia's support
and cooperation is very important in strengthening our strategic partnership
with the EU.
"We will promote cooperation in many important areas such as pharma, agriculture, information technology, clean technology, digital technology, renewable energy, semiconductors. Cooperation will be enhanced in shipbuilding and cyber security," he added.
A reprint of Vezdin's Sanskrit
Grammar was presented to Modi by the Prime Minister of Croatia. It is the first
printed Sanskrit grammar, written in Latin in 1790 by scientist and missionary Filip Vezdin (1748–1806),
based on the knowledge he gained while living in India from Kerala Brahmins and
local manuscripts.
With this pioneering work,
Filip Vezdin became one of the first European scientists to seriously devote
himself to languages and culture. At the
same time, this is also a symbol of the early cultural ties between Croatia and
India. As part of the gift exchange, he
also presented a book "Croatia & India, Bilateral Navigator for
Diplomats and Business" by diplomat
Dr. Siniša Grgić - which provides a unique and comprehensive comparative
overview of our two countries and explores all dimensions of bilateral
relations. This book reflects our
achievements, as well as the potential we can still realize, and we believe
that it will inspire and encourage the strengthening of our future cooperation
and contribute to the further deepening of the mutual friendship between
Croatia and India.
