FOUR PLACES – FIVE DAYS OF OFFICIAL VISITS OF VISHVA GURU NARENDRA MODI

Modi in London: His visit is to boost the economic partnership between our nations.

A strong India-UK friendship is essential for global progress.

“UK is a country with which our Comprehensive Strategic Partnership has achieved significant momentum in the last few years. I look forward to my talks with PM Keir Starmer and my meeting with His Majesty King Charles III” – Modi Tweeted while emplaning to London on 23rd June 2025.

UK Based Indians settled at London gave a warm welcome at London Airport.

Modi Ji as a true Visva Guru   believes in ONE EARTH, ONE

 WORLD, ONE FAMILY.

Free Trade is the fulcrum on which this principle of World Trade, Unity and Peace revolves.

Tariffs are becoming more and more hurdles for the mutual growth of nations’  trades and manufacturing industries.

To begin with, UK and India had come out with bold beneficial steps of reducing tariffs on many products so that there will be price reductions  thereby increasing the markets for the prosperity of the two nations.

And there is every possibility of European Unions joining such Free Trade Agreements much to the discomforts of Trump’s Steps to impose tariffs on many countries purely on political considerations and utter frustrations.

A new chapter begins  in the the signing of the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) creating opportunities for farmers, women, youth, MSMEs, and professionals. The Free Trade Agreement is aimed to enhance trade to $ 120 billion by 2030 - in key sectors such as energy, technology and manufacturing.

India and UK by signing a land mark Free Trade Agreement (FTA) their bilateral trades are to increase by nearly $34 billion annually.

This Free Trade Agreement is a win-win deal as both India and UK secure preferential access to their respective markets with reductions of tariffs on many products.

British goods like medical devices, aerospace parts, cars, whisky, chocolates and cosmetics are to enter the Indian market with sharply reduced tariffs.

PM Modi empowers Tamil Nadu with ₹4,900 crore worth of transformative projects — a world-class terminal at Tuticorin Airport, upgrades in highways, railways, ports & power. A visionary leader driving next-gen growth for a ViksitBharat.

Some High Lights of Modis’s speech at Tutocorin:

In February last year, I laid the foundation stone of the ‘Outer Harbor Container Terminal’ for ‘V.O. Chidambaranar Port’ here. At that time, projects worth hundreds of crores of rupees were also inaugurated. In September, I inaugurated the new Thoothukudi International Container Terminal. On 26th July today once again, projects worth forty-eight hundred crore rupees have been inaugurated and foundation stones have been laid. These include projects for airport, highways, ports and railways, and also important initiatives related to the power sector. I congratulate all of you, the people of Tamil Nadu for this.

Only last year I had gifted the famous pearls of Thoothukudi to Bill Gates. He liked those pearls very much. The Pandya Pearls here were once a symbol of India's economic power throughout the world.

Today we have also dedicated two major road projects of Tamil Nadu built at a cost of approximately Rs 2,500 crore, which are going to connect two major development areas of Chennai. Due to these roads, connectivity of Chennai with the delta districts has further improved.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 26th July 2025 inaugurated the new terminal building of the Tuticorin airport and also laid the foundation for projects worth 4800 Crores rupees, after returning from Maldives.

Modi's speech continuation:

Our government is redeveloping 77 stations in Tamil Nadu under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. The people of Tamil Nadu are getting a new experience through modern Vande Bharat trains.

The country's first and unique vertical lift rail bridge, Pamban Bridge, is also built in Tamil Nadu. Pamban Bridge has increased both Ease of Doing Business and Ease of Travel.

The electrification of the line from Madurai to Bodi-Nayakkanur has now opened the way for running trains like Vande Bharat. These railway projects are going to give a new impetus to both the speed of Tamil Nadu and its development scale.

Today, the foundation stone of the transmission project related to the 2000 MW Kudankulam Nuclear Power Project has also been laid here.

This system, which will be built at a cost of about Rs 550 crore, is going to play a big role in providing clean energy to the country in the coming years.

This energy project will serve as a means to meet India's global energy targets and environmental commitments.

When electricity production increases, Tamil Nadu's industry and domestic users will also benefit greatly from it.
