TRUMP TRAILING AND TRUMPET FAILING
1.
TRUMP'S TRIUMPHANT TIME
Miraculous
escape from assassination attempt on Donald Trump on July 13, 2024, at an
election rally in Butler, Pennsylvania had elevated Trump to an iconic image of
Super Man and Captain America.
These
were truly earned by Trump and the details are hereunder:
Trump,
in spite of his right ear and his face
with blood flowing, brandished his right fist in the air and shouted loudly
with confidence and courage "Fight ! Fight! Fight !" repeatedly
against the backdrop of an American flag and his supporters still in stock had
shouted back "USA, USA, USA".
This
historic moment had stirred American Voters with pride and happiness realizing
that 'We have a Courageous, Valiant and Fighting Soldier who is for America
First and to Make America Great Again.‘
What
slogan of 'America First' and
Republicans' Red Caps with inscription of "Make America Great
Again" and several rallies could not achieve, Blood strained Trump's
raised fist and his war like call of "Fight" thrice to himself and
his supporters had achieved in just a few seconds!
Trump's
spontaneous and instant fearless demeanor
in such a terrific and tragic incident had earned all acclaims from friends and foes alike in
America and abroad.
Even
Trump's stigma of most undemocratic violent attack of US Capitol Building Washington on January 6,
2021 by Trump supporters gathered for a "Save America" rally duly instigated by Trump himself urging them 'to
fight like a hell' to prevent a joint session of Congress convened to formally
count the Electoral College votes and certify Joe Biden's victory in the 2020
presidential election - an unpardonable and punishable offence - was washed out by his triumphant, defiant,
heroic and courageous action in braving a gun shot with his fist sign like
Churchill V sign thereby ensuring his victory to make Trump POTUS.
2. Trump's Trumpet Failings - Trump
Campaign For Nobel Peace Prize:
It is strange for the US President in office to request others especially the heads of other countries to nominate his name to the Norwegian nobel committee for the Nobel Peace Prize.
On a careful analysis, the following accords, actions and understandings
amongst the waring groups could be attributed to the efforts initiated by
Trump.
The Abraham Accords between Israel and several Arab nations (UAE, Bahrain, Sudan, Morocco) in 2020.
North Korea Summits: Trump's unprecedented
meetings with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un resulted in eased tensions on the
Korean Peninsula.
Middle
East Ceasefires: Several ease fires - Gaza. Iran and Israel.
Other
Regional Mediation: Peace deal between Thailand and Cambodia and also between Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of
Congo.
But that did not mean that Trump was in order to approach various
countries' heads to help him to get the nobel prize. Yet, Trump could succeed
in getting support from Japan's Prime Minister (Sanae Takaichi), Cambodia's
Prime Minister (Hun Manet), Israel's Prime Minister (Benjamin Netanyahu),
Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister (Ishaq Dar).
While
we could even condone Trump - POTUS for making America Small in approaching others
for 'favours', Trumps' various comments, tweets, press briefings were immature,
childish and unbecoming of a head of Great Nation - Super World Power.
Trump said: “They gave one to Obama for nothing. I should get one for Israel, for North Korea, for everything I’ve done.”
Trump complained that the Nobel Committee was “very unfair” and “politically biased” for not honoring him.
Trump had not stopped his supporters from chanting in rallies 'Nobel,
Nobel'.
The optics of US President seeking validation from an external committee gave the impression of ego over statesmanship. This was an erosion of American self-confidence.
Trump’s behavior in doing so, made “America” appear less majestic, less assured, and less admired on the world stage.
Trump publicly expressed frustration that he “won’t get a Nobel Peace Prize” despite what he perceives as his mediation accomplishments — he explicitly mentioned the India-Pakistan situation among others. It is all the more tragic that Trump’s special envoy, Richard Grenell tweeted: “The Nobel Prize died years ago.”
Modi's refusal to nominate his name to Nobel Peace Prize had angered Trump
to such an extent that he started Trade Wars against India and imposed 50%
tariffs - though he cited that India was importing Russian Oil thereby funding
Ukraine War.
3. Trump - Democratic Dictator:
Trump's
doctorial, unilateral, egocentric decisions had ignited 'No Kings Movement'
and Trump's popularity ratings had in downslide stage, but still, Trump was not
ready to change his style of administrative decision making mechanisms.
Though
Trump himself had publicly rejected the King label attributed to him by
declaring: “No, we’re not a king. We’re not a king at all.”, No Kings movement did not lose its momentum.
Even
some of his Republicans had not supportive of his various decisions and even
had voted against Trump.
4.
Egoistic Trump aspiring for Third Term:
“2028 / Trump” is his supporters' slogans and Trump was not
against it.
Trump
at times hinted publicly that he might seek a third term. He told news media “there are methods which you could do it… I’m not joking.”
But
later Trump publicly acknowledged that the Constitution likely bars him from
running again: “If you read it, it’s pretty clear — I’m not allowed to run. It’s too bad.”
The
Twenty second Amendment to the United States Constitution (ratified 1951)
states: “No person shall be elected to the office of the
President more than twice…”
Since
Trump has already won two presidential elections (one term 2017-21, and then
elected again for 2025-29), he is ineligible to be elected to a third term. To
make this happen, it requires a constitutional amendment (two-thirds of both
Houses + ratification by three-quarters of the states) which are not an easy
task.
Knowing all these, Trump, still holding the post of the President, saying about third term for him, lowers the prestige of the post he hold.
Trump remains underwater in national approval — more Americans disapprove than approve of his performance.
Actually his ego is so powerful and growing with time and his ambition is
only to make himself GREAT and NOT AMERICA. America First will be pushed to the
background with Trump First to the foreground. Let there be awakening of
American Public - both Republicans and Democrats.
5.
Trump's Trade Tariff War Diplomacy Becoming Duplicity
The so-called trade war under Donald Trump broadly refers to the aggressive use of tariffs (import taxes) by the United States against many trading partners, with the aim of protecting U.S. industries, reducing trade deficits, and leveraging geopolitical influence. Tariffs - used in 3 primary ways: Protect, punitive, revenue
Trump
had targeted almost all powerful countries including US traditional allies such
as UK, Germany, France, Italy etc.
China,
Russia, Canada, Mexico, India and many more nations had responded to Trump's
Tariff Threats by announcing counter-tariffs soon after U.S. moves which was a
major set backs for Trump who thought that those countries would come to US for
reconsideration and reconciliation. But nothing happened and US World Leadership
was eroded to a great extent which in turn had made 'America Small'.
Trump's
Tariff hikes had resulted in U.S.
exporters facing counter-tariffs affecting US manufacturing firms with complex
supply chains and higher prices affecting US consumers - not to speak of job
losses and even industries shifting from America. In short, Trump's tariff war had resulted in disruption
of investment affecting growth.
This diplomatic
and trade failures are purely due to Trump's Unusual Steps of
mixing/linking Trade with Foreign Policy.
Trump
was seen saying 'if India agrees (even gradually) to reduce Russian oil imports
and increase U.S. energy imports/differences, the U.S. may reduce the tariff
penalty from ~50 % down to ~15 %' did show Trump US in poor light exposing its fragile diplomacy and
foreign policy.
Trump’s transactional style and preference for bilateral “what’s in it for me” deals has unsettled allies - thereby allies becoming adversaries.
6.
Trump's Downfall in Diplomacy
Prior
to Trump era, world leaders were eagerly waiting for White House calls to meet
POTUS, but now reverse was the position - Trump visiting foreign countries -
invited and uninvited. This had undermined the White House's World's Summit Stage
Status. This is mainly due to “Presidential Pilgrimage Politics” of Trump.
Trump’s diplomacy is often personal, impulsive, and performance-based — more about symbolism and visibility than structured negotiation.
This
dynamic has led observers to describe current U.S. diplomacy as “transactional chaos” — where America’s presence no longer guarantees strategic respect, only temporary
spectacle.
In
diplomacy, who travels to whom carries symbolic weight. When a superpower’s leader seems to seek legitimacy abroad rather than command it from home,
it implies insecurity.
The U.S. is no longer the table others wait to join; it is the guest trying to secure a seat.
7. Trump's Inconsistencies are proverbial
Let us take Pakistan Vs Trump.
US Twin Tower Blasts and Sheltering Bin Laden - Terrorist behind the blasts
by Pakistan in its soil deliberately had made US policy makers to declare
Pakistan as a 'Terror Nursery‘.
Initially,
Trump took a tough line on Pakistan by suspending US military aid and even
tweeted that Pakistan had given “nothing but lies and deceit” despite receiving U.S. aid. But his aspiration for Nobel Peace Prize had
changed his mindset. Trump was all smiles when the current Prime Minister of
Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif was seen proposing Trump's name for Nobel Peace Prize
much to the disapproval of “beautiful” Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni who was
present in the press meet.
A
Terrorist State proposing Trump POTUS for a Nobel Peace Prize was a Himalayan
hierocracy. In essence, Trump appeared to reward a country long accused of
harboring terrorists simply because its leader flattered his ego by proposing
his name for a Nobel Prize.
Further
Trump's open public comment about Giorgia Meloni as 'beautiful', reflects his
lack of respect for protocol. It is being rated as 'Diplomatic Smallness.
Trump's
various comments and tweets erode his
credibility on the world stage, reinforcing the image of an impulsive and
self-centered leader.
Trump's
Tweets:
v Prime Minister Modi is the
nicest looking guy. He looks like he is your Father...like he's a killer.
v I have great respect and love
for PM Modi. We have a great relationship.
v He's tough as hell. Is this
the same man I know ? Never bow downs to threats.
v I will always be friends with
Modi, he is a great Prime Minister.
v India and the United States
have a special relationship. There is nothing to worry about.
v Every single year there is a
new leader in India, but my friend Modi has been there now for a long time.
Narendra Modi is a great man.
v He is a much tougher
negotiator than me.. much better negotiator than me.. there is no contest.
Modi's
Response Tweets:
v Deeply appreciate and fully
reciprocate President Trump's sentiments and positive assessment of our ties.
v Trump has courage, he makes
his own decisions. We have STRONG bond between us. His life is for his nation.
He believes in America 1st just like I stand for India 1st.
Conclusion:
There are three more years left for Trump Era to end. Previously US will be
nicknamed as Big Brother due to its Powerful Position in the World Forum, but,
now US is slipping from that lofty position and moving towards Small Brother
status.
Let us
hope that Good sense will prevail to Trump with subdued Ego - giving room for
consultation and consensus. 'America First - Make America Great Again' - be not
tagged to Republican Party - but tagged to American Public.
Jai Ho America !
