  CHHATHI MAIYA FESTIVAL – FROM 25 TH  OCTOBER 2025 TO 28 TH  OCTOBER 2025 The Chhathi Maiya festival, or Chhath Puja, is a four-day festival that falls between October 25 and October 28 in 2025. The main day of the festival, when devotees offer the evening prayers (Sandhya Arghya) to the setting sun, is Monday, October 27, 2025. The festival begins six days after Diwali and is celebrated with a series of rigorous rituals dedicated to the Sun God (Surya) and Chhathi Maiya, Sister of Sun God.  Chhathi Maiya is a revered deity worshipped during the Chhath Puja festival, particularly in the Indian states of Bihar, Jharkhand, and parts of Uttar Pradesh, as well as in Nepal.
