Note: Salient Points from the article are given below and the readers are advised to click the link here to read the full text of the essay – LINK  Akbar remarked: All cash transactions are not corrupt, but, every corrupt transaction is in cash and high denomination notes are the currency of corruption. If you want to challenge corruption root and branch, you cannot merely trim the branches periodically, but, you have to cut at the roots. Elite of India - willingly or unwillingly - has poisoned the political and economic systems that embolden those high ups with unaccounted wealth making them to believe that they were above the law. Their comfort zone has been wrecked by Modi’s move of demonetization which is only a beginning and in 2017, those who turned corruption into a doctrine will pay a heavy price. Those powerful corrupts - in politics and in governments - had misjudged the various schemes to convert black money into white money floated by Modi in the recent

India needs Rs. 200/- currency notes

India needs a Rs . 200/- note, not a Rs . 2,000/- note and the science behind it says Ravi Abhyankar: What should be the size of the Apple Mac screen? Technically , Apple can produce hundreds of different sizes, but they have settled on four: - 13.3 inch, 15.4 inch, 21.5 inch and 27 inch. The four are spaced close enough and far enough to satisfy most Apple consumers.  Industrial design has a mathematical concept called preferred numbers. Way back in 1870s, a French engineer Charles Renard proposed a system based on logarithmic scale to produce a limited number of sizes to cover a wide range. A variant of that internationally accepted system is the 1-2-5 series, which is widely used in minting coins and printing notes. The 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500, 1000… is that series. The beauty of the series is that any adjacent numbers differs by a product of 2 or 2.5. As a result, they are spaced close enough but cover a wide ground.  How? Let us

Rahul Gandhi is in bail since 20th February 2015 on his executing personal bond of Rs.50,000 and one surety due to the alleged frauds committed by him along with his beloved mother Sonia and a few others in National Herald case and he is allowed to roam around in view of lenient bail conditions. Hence more than ordinary care and restraint is to be displayed by him in his speech and behaviours.   Though verdict is yet to come, Rahul has perhaps lost his balance when he thundered thus: “The government is running from a debate. They are not allowing me to speak in Lok Sabha. If they allow me to speak, then you will see an earthquake erupting.”  Entire Nation knows that Lok Sabha was disrupted by Opposition Parties - Congress in the fore front.  Then Rahul had chosen to speak about the earthquake-type power speech in a public meeting instead of in Lok Sabha. It runs like this: Sahara paid Rs.40 crore to Narendra Modi before he became prime minister.  When Modi wa
