While Poll analysis reflects facts and data, Political analysis suffers from party loyalties, personal affinities, professional pressures and  prejudices. Even in presenting poll data, many journalists see things through their jaundiced eyes thereby journalism loses its pristine glory. These were glaringly exposed, when we read the news items, reviews, articles analyzing the recently concluded five elections – in West Bengal, Assam, Tamilnadu, Kerala – all States  and Puducherry – Union Territory.
