INTERIM BUDGET – INTELLIGENT BUDGET - 2024
This budget was
the 6th union budget for Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and by this, she had set a record by presenting
six Budgets in a row — five annual Budgets and one interim — a feat achieved so
far only by former Prime Minister Morarji Desai.
The interim budget
– a short-term financial plan – seeks Parliament’s nod for a grant in advance
to meet the government’s essential expenditure for the first four months of the
new financial year.
With confidence,
Nirmala Sitharaman said that the full-fledged budget will be presented by the
Modi Government after getting the people’s mandate for the third term in
succession.
The goal was
already set by the Modi Government to make India ‘Viksit Bharat’ (meaning
developed India’ by 2047 and hence the next 23 years with 23 full-fledged
budgets the Modi Sarkar is confident of achieving “Prosperous Bharat in harmony
with nature, with modern infrastructure, and providing opportunities for all
citizens and all regions to reach their potential”.
Modi said: “This
budget will empower all pillars of developed India – youth, poor, women and
farmers. It gives guarantees of strengthening the foundations of Viksit Bharat
by 2047.”
Our FM said: “Things would have been better only if Modi government had not inherited the most messily managed one from Congress Party – Mess of All and Mass of Corruptions.
And she added: ‘Hence her government will lay a 'white paper' on
the table of the Parliament to look at where the country was till 2014 and
where it is now, to draw lessons from the “mismanagement of those years”.
Some High Lights
of Interim Budget:
1. To popularize Nano DAP instead of
conventional DAP amongst the farmers. Advantages of Nano DAP over Conventional
DAP: Effective, Cheap (Nano 500 ml bottle- Rs.600 and Conventional DAP of 50 kg
bag equitant to Nano 500ml bottle – Rs.1350), Convenient to handle and locally made as against imports.
2. Two crore more homes under PM Awas Yojana.
Housing for deserving sections of the middle class “living in rented houses, or
slums, or chawls and unauthorized colonies”.
3. Rooftop solar for at least 300 units of
power generation which will be free electricity for households.
4. Enhancement of target for Lakhpati Didi
Scheme from 2 crore women to 3 crore women.
5. Three major railway corridors for logistics
efficiency. Urbanization, looking at Metro and Namo Bharat, to bring in urban
transformation.
6. The Union government will provide ₹75,000
crore as interest-free loan for 50 years to support reforms by states for
realising the vision of 'Viksit Bharat'.
7. Growth Engines of economy to turn their attention to
eastern parts of India – Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Odsha and Chhatisgarh
under Amrit Kaal – Road Map to Bharat to become ‘Viksit Bharat’.
8. One crore for research of innovations and
extension of tax exemptions for start-ups.
9. Higher money for school and higher
educations
10. Increased food subsidies - Free ration for
80 crore people
11. Tax claims upto 25,000 pertaining to period
2009-10 and upto 10000 for 2011 to 2015 would be withdrawn and thereby one
crore people is to get benefit. This is under ease of living and doing
business. The steps taken because of: Large number of petty, non-verified,
non-reconciled or disputed direct demands of period as old as 1962. This
created anxiety and hinderance to refund of subsequent years. Further, Average
processing time for returns, stands reduced from 93 days to 10 days at present.
12 Asha, anganwadi staff get health cover. 13. Railways and roadways to get boost.
It is a PAPERLESS
Budget and hence Budget documents, including the Annual Financial Statement,
Demand for Grants, and the Finance Bill as mandated by the Constitution, will
be accessible post the Budget speech.
Now after 10 years
of Modi Sarkar, people are living better, earning better and average real
income of the people has increased by 50%. Inflation under control. Employment
generations are good.
Population
Explosion is now being looked not as a threatening devil but looked both as
challenge and opportunities – due to attitudinal changes in approach to tackle
this problem. ‘Let us not be worried too much about the stomachs to be fed, as
we are having hands to create resources” becomes the outlook of Modi Sarkar and
the budgets are all set to take note of this policy change.
One Earth, One
Nation, One Family concepts will come to the rescue for any problems arising
out of population explosions in any one part on earth.
When ‘MODI AGAIN’
becomes a reality to win handsomely in the forthcoming Lok Sabha election,
Final Budget for 2024 -25 will be in vibrant, vigilant and vision modes of
Viksit Bharat 2047.
Let this message
of Viksit Bharat 2047 of Modi Sarkar be accepted by the majority of voters and
let their acceptance be translated into support base for Modi Sarkar.
JAI HO VIKSIT BHARAT 2047.
