Dethroned and Decimated Communists and Congress in North East Assembly Elections 2018
The BJP’s historic performance in
defeating CPI- M was a herculean task of ‘From Zero to Hero’ achievement –
impossible becoming possible. Red Rule of 25 years in Tirupura of which 20 years of continuous
Rule was of Manik Sarkar – so called Poor Chief Minister - had come to an end in the most dramatic
and tragic manner by the Surge of Saffron Party. The crisp’s comment of Amit Shah – Left is not right for any part of India – echoes the reality of
majority of Voters’ mood and preferences.
In 2013 Tirupura assembly election of 60 seats, CPI
M secured 50 seats with 50% vote share, Congress 10 seats with 35% vote share
and BJP Zero with around 2% vote share. In 2018 Tirupura election, CPI- M got only 16 seats
with vote share of 43%, Congress Zero with below 2 % vote share, while BJP +
got 43 seats with vote share of around
50%. BJP + achievement had pushed
Congress into oblivion – almost achieving BJP’s
aim of ‘Congress Mukt north east’ and Communists into major unprecedented historic
fatal defeat – blow that CPI M can never forget. Tirupura’s 33%
tribal population had solidly voted for BJP + IPFT (Indigenous People’s Front
of Twipra) Combo –
with Election Battle Cry of ‘Chalo Paltai’ – (Let us Change) and the IPFT,
whose 17 candidates lost their deposits in the previous election, had won 8 out
of 9 seats it contested now in 2018 – BJP’s strategy to make IPFT to accept
‘One Tirupura’ instead
of a separate State for the present had also helped to get the votes of
majority of Bengali population as well.
Among the
factors that worked in favour of the BJP – IPFT alliance in Tirupura were
anti-incumbency, alleged corruption by the Left Front government, and
allegations that the CPI M worked for the benefit of only its workers and
leaders.
Many Tirupura
residents said openly that the BJP victory was felt like Independence for them
and now they were freed from Commie’s terror rule. It becomes certain
that the main man behind this spectacular victory in Tirupura assembly election Biplab Kumar will be sworn
in as the first Chief Minister of the BJP Government with absolute majority of
35 seats!
It is really sad to read the so-called leftists
intellectuals and Sickular Pundits crying
comments that ‘after all, Tirupura is having only 2 Lok Sabha Seats and it is not
going to be a much gain for BJP in the forth coming Lok Sabha election. Even total
Lok Sabha Seats in Tirupura (2), Meghalaya (2)
and Nagaland (1) are only 5!’
With predominant Christian populations in Nagaland at
90% and in Meghalaya at 80%, in 2013
assembly elections, Congress secured 15 seats with vote share of 25% in
Nagaland and 29 seats with 35% vote share in Meghalaya. During 2018 election,
the Christian Churches had openly canvassed for Congress or rather clearly
against BJP – Vote for Cross and not for
Trishul. Still, Trishul won Cross, as
Congress could not win even a single seat in Nagaland.
But, in Meghalaya, Congress had managed to come as a single largest party with 21 seats with 29% vote share. Though BJP got only 2 seats (with increased vote share from 1 % in 2013 to 10% in 2018) in Meghalaya, BJP + had succeeded in bringing together all anti-congress parties and had formed the government with reluctant present Tura Lok Sabha MP Conrad Sangma of National People’s Party (NPP) as the Chief Minister. NPP won in 19 seats now as against its victory in 2 seats in 2013. Here again, Congress could not form a government in Meghalaya even after winning 21 seats and sending its tall leaders like Ahmed Patel and Kamal Nath to seek support from other winning parties.

Even in Nagaland, BJP+ had succeeded in forming its government with Neiphiu Rio as the Chief Minister, NDPP
(Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party) leader and former Chief Minister. It
was credit to the BJP that even the ruling Naga People’s Front (NPF) having won
27 seats was ready to align with the BJP with 11 seats to form the Government
without NDPP! Now, Congress has become untouchable!
Out of 8 North East State, 7 States have come under the BJP rule leaving
only Mizoram to Congress. In 2009, only 9 States were with BJP + and now, out
of 32 States (29 full states and 2
semi-states – Delhi and Puducherry), BJP + ruling States had swelled
to whooping 22 States in all. The addition to the kitty after Modi became the PM, was incredible and Shaw – Modi strategies are to be credited with
this success story.
As on date, Congress is left with 4 States – viz. Karnataka, Punjab,
Mizoram and Puducherry, while 6 States – viz. Tamilnadu, Kerala, Telegana, West Bengal, Odisa and Delhi are under the control of various political parties. BJP’s next
major challenge is to win Karnataka which, accordingly to Amit Shah, is certain and the BJP is aiming to reach the golden age by winning
Karnataka, Odisha, Bengal and Kerala.
The way in which Shah – Modi Combination works, nothing is
impossible and the days are not far off to see that BJP enters that memorable
Golden Age.
Concrete planning and work with
confidence and utmost devotion like Karma Yogis which are in the blood veins of
Shaw and Modi are bound to fetch the GOLDEN AGE FOR BJP.
