2024 LOK SABHA ELECTION – TO WHOM TO VOTE AND WHY
Modi Sarkar is ruling at the Centre for the last 10
years – two continuous consecutive terms from 2014 to 2024. Bharat Voters had
voted Modi in 2014 with 283 MP seats and in 2019 with 303 MP seats and the BJP
had now set a target of 370 + MP seats in the current Lok Sabha Election which
will be over by June 1 and the results will be out on June 4.
To decide ‘To Whom to Vote and Why’, we have two different yardsticks for the ruling party – here it is BJP and for the opposition parties – here it is INDI-Alliances headed by Congress.
For Ruling Party – viz BJP under the leadership of
Modi: Voter can judge the track records of the ruling party for the last 10
years and their programmes for the next 5 years.
Unbiased assessments of various welfare schemes implemented
by the ruling party from various reports – both government and media/print and
various articles thereon – apart from the manifesto released by the BJP for
current Lok Sabha.
For INDI-Alliances – supposedly headed by Congress
(Leadership of Alliances is not clear or spelt out or agreed upon by alliance
parties nor PM Candidate settled): Hence we are left with actions mainly of
Congress Party with Rahul Gandhi being the prime spokesman of the party for the
last 10 years and Congress Party Current Lok Sabha Manifesto. Voters are not
posted with any minimum programme by INDI-Alliances. Hence apart from Congress
Manifesto, views, opinions, and action plans of other Alliances such as DMK,
TMC, Sharad Pawar NCP, Lalu Party BJD, Mulayam Singh Yadav Party SP, CPM, CPI
& Aam Aadmi Party will help the voters in their decision making in the 2024
Lok Sabha Election.
BJP
Manifesto for Lok Sabha contains 76 pages with colorful pictures and without
much narrations and sentences but with more phrases with bullets points for
easy understanding and assimilation.
(Some more pictures are published at the end of the editorial)
Congress Manifesto for Lok Sabha contains 48 pages with more narrations, sentences, and less pictures. The picture in the first page has Rahul in the midst of his supporters with black as prominent colour (a small green strip at the centre top – perhaps meek obeisance to Muslims’ Brethren) which is considered inauspicious for Saffron Hindus, but, perhaps auspicious for congress seculars. Further, even the last page of the Congress Manifesto has Rahul amongst his supporters showing his back to the reader (which is also considered inauspicious) declaring HAATH BADLEGA HALAAT (HAND CHANGES COUNTRY’S RULE) and the photo is also having black as its prominent colour. His lilliput picture in the first photo also is unimpressive.
BJP’s track records for the past 10 years are excellent and the many initiated steps by Modi Sarkar had brought progress, prosperity, and peace. It is a fact that many bold decisions were taken and successfully implemented – like abolition of 370, abolition of triple talaq and construction of Ram Temple.
Cleanliness, Scrapping of Old British laws,
Developments in Highways, Railways, Airways, Defense, Digital & Education,
Employment Generation, Ease of Doing Business, Corruption Free Governance,
Women Empowerment, Demonetization, Free Ration for the Needy, Electricity and
Gas Connection to all, Banking Account even with no initial deposits to all,
affordable houses for all and Tap Water connections to All, No unmanned Railway
Crossing, strong foreign policy, repayment
of foreign debts completely, strong army fully equipped with latest
modern weapons, export of military equipment/ vehicles to friendly countries in
the east etc. are the few achievements of Modi Government. Goal of Complete Self Reliance is all set to
achieve by 2047.
On a perusal of BJP manifesto 2024 – Sankalpa Patra
which is the document containing Modi Ki Guarantees will very much impress any
voter to vote Modi again for third consecutive term.

Now the
Modi Ki Gurantees manifesto has the following main agenda for the next five
years –
Ø
Bringing Uniform Civil Code: Article 44 of the Constitution lists
Uniform Civil Code as one of the Directive Principles of State Policy. BJP
believes that there cannot be gender equality till such time Bharat adopts a
Uniform Civil Code, which protects the rights of all women, and the BJP
reiterates its stand to draw a Uniform Civil Code, drawing upon the best
traditions and harmonizing them with the modern times.
Ø Making One Nation, One Election a
Reality
Ø Introducing Common Electoral Roll:
We will make provisions for a common Electoral Roll for all levels of
elections.
Ø Establishing New Institutions of
Higher Learning
Ø Implementing One Nation, One
Student ID
Ø Facilitating Hosting Olympics
Ø UN Permanent Membership in Security Council.
Now let us
briefly analyze the various aspects of Congress Manifesto which is christened
as Nyaya Patra or Justice Document.
1.
MGNREGA and the National Food Security Act of Congress had ensured that
India was able to absorb the shocks of the Global Financial Crisis (2008), the
Taper Tantrum (2013), demonetisation
(2016) and COVID-19 (2020). (By including demonetization and Covid -19.
Congress Manifesto had inadvertently praising Modi Sarkar!)
2.
Congress Manifesto when saying that ‘the numbers of registered and
active workers under MGNREGA and the fact that 80 crore people depend on free
grain (5 kg per person per month) are definite indicators of widespread
poverty’ had again inadvertently admitting the successful free rations to such
a large population without any major hurdles.
3.
‘Democracy in India is in danger due to election of one party and one
leader’ is an unconstitutional statement, as BJP and Modi were duly voted by
the majority of people of India. Such a
statement in the manifesto is a direct hit on the voters’ freedom of choices.
4.
‘More public contracts will be awarded to SC and ST communities’ mean
that Congress is not worried about the quality of public works but it wants to
see it as a ‘distribution of public money.’ Such a mindset is against the
healthy developmental growth of the nation.
5.
Congress will revisit the policy of centrally-conducted qualifying
examinations such as NEET, CUET, etc. and make it optional for state
governments to adopt these examinations.
6. The Planning Commission will be
restored. (Rahul Gandhi’s father as Ex-PM had openly criticized Planning
Commission then headed by Manmohan Singh, as a "bunch of jokers".)
7.
The
Laws passed by the BJP/NDA Government during its last 10 years misrule, will be
thoroughly reviewed and changed. (Whether Article 370 and Triple Talaq come for
Congress review?)
8.
Congress
will Abolish the Agnipath programme.
9.
Complete
investigations of the Electoral Bonds Scam, the reckless sale of public assets,
the PM CARES scam, repeated intelligence failures at the highest levels and
corruption in major defense deals.
10.
The
three goals of our economic policy were, and will be, work, wealth, and
welfare. We will address the growing inequality of wealth and income through
suitable changes in policies.
11.
Congress
will replace the GST laws enacted by the
BJP/NDA government with GST 2.0.
12.
Our borders with China: It will be ensured
that areas where both armies patrolled in the past are again accessible to our
soldiers. The necessary steps will be taken to adjust our policy towards China.
(There is no clarity in such a delicate subject like foreign policy.)
13.
The
most intriguing and dangerous clauses of Congress Manifesto are found in page 7
– 8 clauses in all which make Congress Manifesto as ‘Muslim League Manifesto’
in letter and spirit. Vote Bank Politics and Appeasement Policy of Congress are
very much in evidence however much Congress wants to cover up their anti-Hindu
and anit-national and pro minority stands.
Page 7 of Congress Manifesto – Given as it appears:
1.We will respect
and uphold the fundamental right to practice one’s faith and the rights guaranteed
to religious minorities under Articles 15, 16, 25, 26, 28, 29 and 30 of the
Constitution.
2. We will also
respect and uphold the rights of linguistic minorities guaranteed under
Articles 15, 16, 29 and 30 of the Constitution.
3. We will
encourage and assist students and youth belonging to the minorities to take
full advantage of the growing opportunities in education, employment, business,
services, sports, arts and other fields.
4. We will restore
the Maulana Azad Scholarships for study abroad and increase the number of
scholarships.
5. The economic
empowerment of minorities is a necessary step for India to realize its full
potential. We will ensure that banks will provide institutional credit to
minorities without discrimination.
6. We will ensure
that the minorities receive their fair share of opportunities in education,
healthcare, public employment, public works contracts, skill development,
sports and cultural activities without discrimination.
7. Congress will ensure that, like
every citizen, minorities have the freedom of choice of dress, food, language
and personal laws.
8. We will encourage reform of
personal laws. Such reform must be undertaken with the participation and consent
of the communities concerned.
(E-Touch strongly feels that Congress wanted to push the
majority Hindus to a second class citizenship status giving a priority of a
First Class Citizenship Status to Minority Muslims)
9.
Congress Manifesto vetoed Modi Sarkar’s idea
of ‘one nation and one election.’
10.
Congress had again expressed its reservations
about the efficacy of EVM and VVPAT. Congress suggestion to make the voter to
physically deposit the voter verifiable slip generated by VVPAT is most
avoidable and unnecessary move which will no way enhance the voters’ trust. In
spite of Supreme Court certifying the EVM/VVPAT, Congress again raising it as
an issue is unethical, undemocratic, and unjustifiable.
Congress in its
manifesto alleged that the BJP has turned out to be a giant washing machine and
that accused in registered cases who joined the BJP were allowed to escape the
law. The allegations against such persons will be revived and investigated.
This is a false allegation, as the cases registered against them were not
withdrawn and that top BJP leaders had already gone on records to state that
the law will take its course and that the BJP as a party will not support them,
if they were punished.
There are lurking
fears in the minds of some voters – especially non-Muslims that the revival of
Article 370 by Congress and Revoking Triple Talaq are not completely ruled out,
if one reads the Congress Manifesto carefully. When the BJP accused Congress of
revisiting various laws of Muslims Communities in the recent past especially
Article 370 and Triple Talaq, Rahul had not till date repudiated these
accusations and his silence gives credence to the fears of Hindu Voters and
even Women Muslims Voters. Items 7 and 8 of Page 7 of Congress Manifesto -
Please refer above for details - stand testimony to my above observations.
Congress Manifesto seems to suggest that school uniforms for purdah wearing
Muslim girl students are not to be made
compulsory.
Freedom of Food
for Muslims should be ensured – says Congress Manifesto which means that
Congress is against ban on slaughter of cows as enshrined in the Indian
Constitution.
Congress Manifesto
declares that the three goals of our economic policy were, and will be, work,
wealth and welfare. In the process, Congress had stated that they will address
the growing inequality of wealth and income through suitable changes in
policies.
Modi had created
National Wealth for the last 10 years and Congress had come out with the idea
of re-distribution of wealth through Inheritance Tax etc. Congress had even
said that Written Off Amounts by Banks will be made available for wealth
distribution which means that such a measure will bring back the same situation
of struggling and suffering of our financial institutions as like during UPAs
Two Terms.
As there are no
proper alliance or guidance to face Modi through some Common Minimum Programme/
INDI-Alliance PM Candidate and INDI-Alliances are themselves fighting with one another
in States without common MP candidates, it is not necessary to comment upon
their ideas, views and moves.
From the above,
Voters could sense that Congress ‘Justice Document’ is ‘Justice Document for
Minority Muslims’ and ‘Injustice Document for Majority Hindus.’
As against
Bankruptcy and Minorites Muslim Manifesto of Congress, Modi Ki Guarantees in
BJP Manifesto aim at VIKSIT BHARAT 2047 – i.e. DEVELOPED BHARAT 2047.
MODI MANIFESTO
ASSURES TO ACHIEVE THE GOAL OF MODI GUARANTEES FOR ALL ENSURING EQUAL JUSTICE
IRRESPECTIVE OF CASTE OR CREED. No Appeasement and No Special Status based on
religion – But Congress Government in
Karnataka had brought Muslims into 27% OBC category for reservation thereby
reducing the real OBC from getting full benefits. Reservations based on
religion becomes Congress Vote Bank Strategy.
Two past incidents
need to be quoted here to expose the duplicity of Congress:
1. P. Chidambaram who was responsible for the
drafting the present Congress Manifesto had said in the Parliament about
extending the digital payments to even street vendors as follows: “How could be
possible for street vendors go for digital transactions? Have they ATM,
Internet ect.” But today, Modi – a Chaiwallah had made this happen bringing
shame to the highly sophisticated Harvard Scholar.
2. When Modi mooted the idea of providing
electricity to all including poor hutment dwellers, Ex-PM Manmohan Singh
expressed that as such poor people are not aware of using electricity, the
providing electricity will end in their deaths! Yes, Another Highly Qualified
Professor’s Alarm Bell to keep the Poor in perennial darkness!
It is sad and
painful to note that even some of our E-Touch Family Members are ready to
believe Congress Manifesto instead of Modi Ki Guarantees Manifesto. They were
duly guided by some anti-modi posts in Print, Scroll,Wire, Quint ect. E-Touch
had on many occasions exposed the Yellow Journalisms of such web sites. Apart
from these, some Tool Kits duly supplied and supported by foreign hands, are all
out Anti-Modi Propagandists about which our readers had been told and warned.
E-Touch is for
Modi to be elected for third term and we pray Lord Ram to guide Bharat Voters
to give BJP and NDA - 370 + and 400 +
respectively.
Let Bharat Prosper under Modi Ki Guarantees.
