LINGERING LEADERSHIP ISSUE IN CONGRESS
It is an
undeclared, but, agreed and accepted, policy amongst Congress that Top Slots of
Congress Posts are reserved for Nehru Dynasty – now for Trio – Sonia, Rahul and
Priyanka.
One more
Congress policy is that this Trio is to be well fortified from any assessment
of their performances as the Heads of the Congress party – they are to be as
hereditary monarchs like Queen, Prince and Princess.
The most
subservient Congress Working Committee Members are behind Trio’s Leadership
Acceptance on the highly powerful lobby of High Command Culture like Darbari
(Courtiers) culture in Monarchy system.
Jha was most
harsh when he termed Congress undemocratic system as “Notorious high command
culture”, while his friend Sandeep Dikshit accusing the congress encouraging
and tolerating Darbari Culture.
One may
accuse me that these are highly prejudiced statements against Congress party.
“Leadership
is not everyone’s Cup of Tea or Coffee” – was Jha’s tweet in the context of
Jyotoraditya Scinida joining BJP leaving Congress, but, it sounded like a
criticism on Congress indecision in the leadership issue.
Rahul,
accepting his leadership failure resulting in losing many States’ Elections
coupled with annexing all time low Lok Sabha seats – 44 in 2014 and 52 in 2019
– losing even the post of Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha twice had publicly
advised Congress Party to choose a leader – other than his family members - his
mother Sonia, self and his sister – Priyanka. But the Congress had again chosen
Sonia as an Interim President – interim perhaps to give some pretence of value
to Rahul’s advice pertaining to Congress leadership choice. It is sad that
Congress is not in a position to elect or select a permanent President or in
the alternative to crown Sonia as its Permanent President.
Another complaint against
Congress as revealed by Jha is that Congress has no internal mechanism to
listen to its members. Jha had further confirmed that Congress boasting of
having a robust internal freedom of expression on issues by members is a false
claim. “Can you tell me one forum where
Congress members are regularly invited to have a free exchange of ideas and
opinions?” – Jha was posing this question to the Congress.
Sanjay Jha
had suggested that the party should have followed a Westminister-like-model
shadow cabinet system and that the Congress should have presented an
alternative white paper on governance.
Jha had gone
one step further in criticizing Congress Leadership thus: We have been reacting
in an episode manner. Giving Money to the poor comes under the budget and we
should have questioned the Centre as to how it is going to monetize the debt,
borrow and raise tax revenues.
Jha’s following
statement was a direct hit on Rahul’s poor performance and Jha seemed to
suggest that Rahul should be made accountable: "If a publicly listed
company has even one bad quarter in corporate earnings, it is subjected to a
brutal examination from analysts, with no one spared, particularly the CEO and
the board.”
Congress Culture
was to go after Nehru Dynasty. Even during Nehru period, Congress raised an
issue ‘After Nehru, Deluge’. At that time, there were many able Congress
Leaders, but, Congress was keen to crown Indra if not immediately, but, later
but surely. This outlook and mentality of Congress had made non-dynasty Prime
Ministers weak resulting in poor governance. Hence, present Congress cannot
come out of its dynastic culture and top Congress Party post will go to any one
of Trio for the present and even if anyone is elected as Congress President, he
will be remote controlled by Nehru Dynasty.
Unless Out of the
Box Thinking enters the veins of Congress Party, the Leadership will be eternal
issue jeopardizing its growth as a powerful alternative political party.

of their past deeds and to safeguard themselves from punishments/penalties.
Priyanka dyed her front hair snowy white to resemble her Grandmother Indra Gandhi to attract voters to cast votes to Hand symbol, but failed miserably.
Following his younger sister's footsteps. Perhaps his pet Pidi might have hinted him in his dream to do so duly approved by his Guru Pitroda who was also his father's friend, philosopher and guide.
'Power is no more poison - but Power is position which Trio badly need to escape punishments/penalties for their past Karma during 10 years of UPA Misrule.
Permanent Congress President is yet to be installed in the Congress Party and perhaps - dramatically announced statement of Rahul - 'No one - my mother, self or my sister should be chosen as the President' will be buried fathom deep to choose again 'Yvaraj Prince Rahul' as the Congress President. This is in the background less than 1 % (actually it is 0.53%) of all time poor all India rating for Rahul as Prime mInisterial candidate.
