AKHANDA BHARAT – MODI GOVERNMENT DETERMINED TO BRING BACK POK – GILGIT – BALTISTAN TO INDIAN STATES

Muslim Minority Appeasement Policy was very much displayed by the then rulers of India duly fueled by the Britishers on the eve of their relinquishing power by dividing Bharat into two nations on the basis of religions -  Pakistan and India and as an offshoot, Pakistan Occupied Kashmir, Gilgit and Baltistan were born with much blood sheds, wars and animosities amongst Muslims and Hindus.

Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir is divided into "Azad Jammu and Kashmir" and Gilgit-Baltistan. Both of them have legislative Assemblies and enjoy some degree of autonomy.

Until 1970, Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan were part of a single territorial unit.

After Gilgit-Baltistan was carved out as a separate territorial unit, a representative body named the Northern Areas Advisory Council was created.

Four Dates are most vital and important to resolve POK – Gilgit – Baltistan issues once for all.

v 27th October 1947 - Indian Army troops were transported by the Indian Air Force to Budgam Airport to evict Pakistan forces from J-K, a day after the 'Instrument of Accession was signed between Maharaja Hari Singh and the Republic of India.  The day is celebrated as 'Infantry Day'.  Infantry Day is observed as a remembrance of the first military event of independent India, when the Indian Army repelled the first attack on Indian soil on October 27, 1947, in the Kashmir valley. The victory was accomplished by the personnel of the First Battalion of the Sikh Regiment.

v 22nd February 1994 - Following increasing terrorist violence and Pakistan’s attempts to highlight the Kashmir dispute, both houses of the Indian Parliament unanimously adopted a resolution on February 22, 1994, emphasizing that Jammu and Kashmir was an integral part of India, and that Pakistan must vacate parts of the State under its occupation.

v 5th August 2019 – Date on which Modi Government abolished special provisions of Article 370 to pave way to bring Jammnu and Kashmir as Union Territories.  Shri Amit Shah Repealing article 370 declared in the Parliament that the step is not a historic blunder, rather it is historic step to correct the historic blunder and it is the dream of the people of India nursed for more than 70 years.

v 27th October 2022 - Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday (October 27) said India had only just begun walking north, and the journey would end when we reach the remaining parts of PoK, Gilgit and Baltistan.

He further clarified that this would implement the resolution passed unanimously by India’s Parliament on February 22, 1994. As far as India is concerned, Gilgit-Baltistan (G – B) is Indian territory, part of the former princely state of Jammu and Kashmir that acceded to India in full after Independence, and which has been under illegal Pakistani occupation.

Hence Rajnath Singh said: “Will take back PoK, Gilgit & Baltistan. The mission of full integration of J&K that started on August 5, 2019 will complete when Gilgit-Baltistan and areas of the Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) will reunite with India.”

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday attended the `Shaurya Diwas` programme on the 76th Infantry Day organized by the Indian Army in Budgam.

He addressed from same place - Budgam where Indian army fought their first battle and pushed out the kabali intruders from jammu and kashmir.

Hinting at retrieving Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), the minister said the goal of overall development in the twin Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh will be achieved "after reaching Gilgit and Baltistan".

The Defence Minister also questioned the role played by human rights groups in J&K.

“Where are human rights groups when security forces and civilians are attacked?

Human rights groups and so-called intellectuals have been supporting terrorists and their supporters when the security forces would take action against them. India is a country which is even sensitive towards trees and plants not to talk about human beings. The situation Kashmir was in, the silence of these so-called intellectuals was also responsible for it. Kashmir saw ethnic cleansing of Kashmiri Pandits and their forced migration too,” he added.

He said terrorism was unacceptable to India. “When a terrorist comes to kill, he does not differentiate between a Hindu and Muslim. He kills a human being and an Indian,” he said.

Here one great favourable point is that the majority of people of POK – Gilgit – Baltistan are not happy with the rule of Pakistan and want to be ruled by the Indian Government. Such feelings and opinions were expressed by them by staging street agitations against Pakistan in their respective regions. Not only that. They also support India against Pakistan, when Pakistan express its opposition to India’s policy statements in world forums.

Let us wish and pray for that Great Red Letter Day of POK – Gilgit – Baltistan becoming States of India.

AND KUDOS TO OUR COURAGEOUS AND BOLD AND FORTHRIGHT DEFENCE MINISTER RAJNATH SINGH.
