BJP’S WINNING SPREE – CAPTURED 2 FROM CONGRESS AND RETAINED 1
While victory of BJP winning 3 states of Madhya Pradesh with 163 seats as against congress with 66 seats, Rajasthan with 115 seats as against congress 66 seats and Chhattisgarh with 64 seats as against 35 seats is a Himalayan achievement in spite of most media voicing against BJP and supporting congress.
Even exit polls
predicted victory of Congress in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh and victory in MP
for BJP with narrow margin. But their predictions had gone wrong terribly much
to the disappointments of congress.
Modi is unstoppable in his winning spree in the recent assembly elections and it is predicted that BJP’s win in Lok Sabha 2024 is a forgone conclusion and Modi will become Prime Minister for the third consecutive term.
Print Media now
reluctantly concedes that Modi – with his development agenda - Modi Guarantee
Schemes – Double Engine for Development and Welfare- has become a powerful
political leader who, at present scenario, is undefeatable. His International
Image has also got the attention of Indian voters.
His crusade against corruption amongst political leaders along with his strong opposition to dynastic rules of Indian national congress (INC) – now losing its national status, all India trinamool congress – now mere Trinamool congress losing its national status, nationalist congress party (NCP) – losing its national status, Samajwadi Party (SP), dravida munnetra kazhakam (DMK) and many smaller political parties - has now gained support from the majority of voters.
‘Only Modi can defeat
Modi’ becomes a reality and to get this position Modi is toiling round the
clock to make India No. 1 Nation in the world by 2047 for which he has a blue
print with a clear time schedule for implementation of various projects.
For congress, Telangana State victory is a great solace and achievement ending K. Chandrshekhar Rao Bharat Rashtra Samithi Party rule with a comfortable majority. It is a major shock for Rao, as he was defeated in one of his two seats contested by him by a BJP leader.
His ambitious agenda
of challenging Modi and to become Prime Minister of India had given a wrong
message to the people of Telangana. His autocratic and over ambitious decision to change the name of
his local party – Telangana Rashtra Samithi to Bharat Rashtra Samithi to give
an All-India image to the party had resulted in losing both his local politics
and cm chair and with no support to enter central politics from any political
quarters.
With these results, out of total states of 28, BJP now rules 12 states by itself and another 4 in ruling coalition. Congress is left with only 3 states – Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka and Telangana.
As
of December 2023, the BJP-ruled states constitute 58 per cent of India's land
area, comprising 57 per cent of the population.
The
Opposition-governed states, meanwhile, cover 41 per cent of the country's land
area with 43 per cent of the population.
Spectacular
performances of BJP had given a severe jolt and shock to Dots INDIA parties
(I.N.D.I.A. = Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance) and they had
started blaming Congress for not taking other parties into confidence and also
not accommodating them with sufficient seats in all these states.
Their
comment was that it is congress defeat and not Dots INDIA’s defeat.
It
may be suicidal if Congress as political party toes the agenda of other
political parties by not contesting sufficient seats in the forthcoming Lok
Sabha election and it should not be congress job to get its alliance’s parties
get elected just to defeat Modi Government at the centre.
If congress had conceded to its alliance parties in Telangana, it would not have achieved this much of victory and even it might have resulted in coalition politics which will not augur well for taking decisions.
Telangana
victory owes much to the untiring efforts and propaganda of Anumula Revanth Reddy (born 8 November 1969) (Age
54) – new congress leader.
Revanth
Reddy switched over to congress only in October 2021 from Telugu Desam Party.
Congress immediately appointed him as President of Telangana Congress party. In
his student’s day, Revanth Reddy was a member of ABVP.
Ramana Reddy (born 1970) – (Age 55) who is one year senior to Reventh Reddy created history as he defeated both the Chief Ministers K. Chandrashekar Rao and Revanth Reddy in Mamareddy constituency securing around 1.07 votes as against 55,000 votes of Revanth Reddy and with a narrow margin of 7,000 votes difference of Telangana CM KCR.
This is KCR's first electoral defeat in
nearly four decades.
Another factor is that Ramana Reddy joined BJP deserting congress party in 2018 only. Because of Ramana Reddy’s herculean election campaigns, BJP had won 8 seats from a single seat.
Even in Mizoram, BJP where
it has no stake, won 2 seats , while congress 1 seat.
In short, BJP has done its job
exceedingly well – thanks to mainly the leadership, guidance and propaganda of
Modi
.
