Qutub Minar Complex Iron Pillar

Image
Text of above Inscription:  “In the courtyard of the Quwwat-Ul-Islam mosque this famous iron pillar is situated, which bears a Sanskrit inscription in Gupta Period Brahmi script, palaeographically assignable to the Fourth Century, a date which is also confirmed by the peculiar style of its Amalaka-capital. The inscription records that the pillar was set up as a standard (dhwaja) of god Vishnu on the hill known as Vishnupada, in the memory of mighty king. Named Chandra, who is now regarded as identical with Chandraguptai (375-413) of the imperial Gupta dynasty. A deep hole on the top of the pillar indicates that an additional member, perhaps an image of Garuda, was fitted into it to answer to its description as a standard of Vishnu. The pillar has been brought here evidently from somewhere else, as no other relics of the fourth century are found at the site. There is a strong bardic tradition that it was brought here wherefrom, nobody knowns by Anangpal, the Tomar King who is credited w

QUTUB MINAR – PRIDE OF MUSLIMS AND PAIN OF HINDUS AND JAINS

Image
Qutub Minar means Victory Tower.  It is Pride of Muslims because 73 metre high Qutub Minar was built by the first Muslim ruler of Delhi, Qutub-ud-din Aibak, to commemorate his victory over the last Hindu ruler of Delhi Prithiviraj Chauhan and that too it was built using the materials obtained by demolishing 27 Hindu and Jain temples. Qutub Minar is Pain for Hindus and Jains as it was built with the ruins of 27 Hindu and Jain Temples. This place was probably a Vishnu Temple before Aibak’s Victory Tower and its destruction is the eternal pain of Hindus and Jains. Qutub Minar was actually 'Vishnu Stambh' before. The Famous Iron Pillar is a testimony to this Vishnu stupa claim. An inscription over its eastern gate provocatively informs that it was built with material obtained from demolishing ’27 Hindu temples. The Official website reads: “The main mosque comprises of an inner and outer courtyard, decorated with shafts and surrounded by Pillar. Most of these shafts are from the 27

AKSHAYA TRITIYA ON 03 – 05 - 2022

Image
In Sanskrit, the word akshaya ( अक्षय्य ) means "never decreasing" in the sense of "prosperity, hope, joy, success", while tritiya means "third phase of the moon". It is named after the third lunar day of the spring month of Vaisakha in the Hindu calendar. The day is considered as one of the best days when it comes to starting something new. Buying gold and silver is considered as highly auspicious on this day. These metals signify Goddess Lakshmi. It is believed that if you make an investment in gold or silver on this festival, then the Goddess will bless you with wealth and prosperity in abundance. Krishna presents Draupadi with Akshaya Patra on Akshaya Tritiya during the exile of the Pandavas to the forest. During their exile in the forest, the Pandava princes were famished due to the lack of food, and their wife Draupadi was pained by this because she could not extend the customary hospitality to their guests. Yudhishthira, who was the eldest

Preface: After reading the article under the head “Prashant Kishor moots Sonia Gandhi as Congress chief, new working president” in the Hindu Daily Newspaper of 21 st April 2022, I wrote the article below. Krishna or Kamsa Kishor wants Congress to draw inspirations, plans and executions on the five gestures of the dancing Shiva - Nataraja which represents five activities – viz. creation – drum, protection – abaya mudra, destruction – burning fire, embodiment – foot planted on the ground, release – foot held aloft.   Kishor wants to join Congress Party as a Main Party Man with position and power to chalk out strategies to be implemented unquestioned and answerable only to Sonia, Rahul and Priyanka – Triumvirate. This may happen though road ahead for Kishor and for other Congress Leaders going to be rough and tough terrains.   All his ideas had been consolidated in his well over 600 slides which are being scrutinized by a three-member committee comprising party veterans AK Antony,

Jammu and Kashmir State Land (Vesting of Ownership to Occupants) Act, 2001 commonly known as Roshni Act was promulgated during Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah's government in 2001. By this act, Jammu and Kashmir State lands were given to unauthorised occupants of those lands with a cut-off of 1990 upon payment of a sum to be determined by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir with the aim of raising money for power projects. Since the aim was to generate resources for hydroelectric power projects, it was called Roshni Act – Light Act. Roshni means Light. In 2005, the PDP-Congress coalition government led by Mufti Mohammad Sayeed amended the Act to relax the cut-off year from 1990 to 2004. In a later amendment, the Ghulam Nabi Azad government set the premium at 25% of the market rate and the cut-off date at 2007. The said so called Roshni Act – supposed to bring Light to the J & K was aimed at to bring permanent Darkness to Kashmiri Pundits as this act of Farooq Abdullah

The three farm laws were — The Farmers’ Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, The Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement of Price Assurance and Farm Services Act, and The Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act.   Due to continued agitations and blockades by farmers mostly from Punjab, Supreme Court on January 2020 stayed the implementation of the three farm laws duly passed by the Legislatures.   After staying the farm laws, the Supreme Court set up a panel of four distinguished experts to study the aspects of the laws. The credentials of four members are Ashok Gulati - Agriculture economist, Anil Ghanwat, President of Shetkari Sanghatana (Maharashtra), Pramod Kumar Joshi - International Food Policy Research Institute and Bhupinder Singh Mann -   President of a faction of the Bhartiya Kisan Union who later left the panel.
