End of Corona Is Coming Soon

“End of Corona is coming soon” - This is the message from Michael Levitt, a Nobel Laureate and Standard biophysicist.  Michael Levitt received the 2013 Nobel Prize in chemistry.
Same Scientist Levitt had warned China in January this year that Covid-19 would be severe and there would be more deaths in the coming months the number increasing every day.  His predictions were proved correct and total number of confirmed COVID-19 in China peaked to around 80,000 with about 3,250 deaths.
Again he predicted that there would no more further chronic affections of this virus and deaths  in China and confidently declared to his friend in February 1 that the number of deaths soon would be decreasing every day and it happened as predicted by Levitt. His forecast turned out to be remarkably accurate: As  of March 16, China had counted a total of 80,298 cases and 3,245 deaths — in a nation of nearly 1.4 billion people where roughly 10 million die every year. The number of newly diagnosed patients had dropped to around 25 a day, with no cases of community spread.
Hence Levitt’s soothing prediction of “We are going to be Fine, Soon globally” – gained wide publicity and many had come out from the panic scenario – hoping that ‘Soon They will see Light at the End of Tunnel.”
Now he foresees a similar outcome in the United States and the rest of the world.

While many epidemiologists are warning of months, or even years, of massive social disruption and millions of deaths, Levitt says the data simply don’t support such a dire scenario — especially in areas where reasonable social distancing measures are in place.
“What we need is to control the panic,” he said. In the grand scheme, “we’re going to be fine.”

He analyzed data from 78 countries that reported more than 50 new cases of COVID-19 every day and sees “signs of recovery” in many of them. He’s not focusing on the total number of cases in a country, but on the number of new cases identified every day — and, especially, on the change in that number from one day to the next.
“Numbers are still noisy, but there are clear signs of slowed growth.”  As testing facilities to detect COVID-19 are messy and hence even with incomplete data, “a consistent decline means there’s some factor at work that is not just noise in the numbers,” Levitt said.
Some Scientists had not agreed with Levitt stating that “The analysis was thought-provoking, if nothing else. Time will tell if Levitt’s predictions are correct.”
Levitt said he’s in sync with those calling for strong measures to fight the outbreak. The social-distancing mandates are critical — particularly the ban on large gatherings — because the virus is so new that the population has no immunity to it, and a vaccine is still many months away.
“This is not the time to go out drinking with your buddies,” he said.
He remarked: "What we need is to control the panic... we're going to be fine."

The Nobel laureate also blamed the media for fanning out panic.  Levitt said that overreaction could trigger another crisis, with lost jobs and hopelessness around.
He also blamed the media for causing unnecessary panic by focusing on the increase in the cumulative number of cases and highlighting the cases of celebrities who contracted the virus.
In a lighter vein one senior associate of Israeli PM Netanyahu observed thus: I read Prof. Levitt’s analyses, but when I have to work, I work with the Health Ministry scenarios.
At the end, as Levitt had proved 100% correct in respect of China, there is no need to doubt his predictions – But His Strong Advice for Social Distancing is not followed to the hilt, there is no use of blaming Levitt.
Observe Social Distancing for your own Survival.
LET THE LIGHT THAT WE WILL BE LIGHTING DESTROY CORONA DEVIL GLOBALLY.
OM THANVATHRIYE NAMAH.
