NAVARATRI – 17th to 25th October 2020

Navathri comes twice in a year – Chaitra Navatri  and Sharadiya Navatri.

Chaitra Navatri which is popular in North India was celebrated from March 25, 2020 to April 2, 2020 this year.

Sharadiya Navatri is popular throughout India and this year, the festival will be celebrated starting from 17th October 2020 to 25th October 2020. 10th Day of Navaratri on 26th October 2020 is also equally important.

It is common knowledge that in the first three days of Navaratri, Goddess Durga is invoked in order to destroy all our impurities, vices and defects. The next three days Goddess Lakshmi is adored as a giver of material and spiritual wealth. The final three days the goddess of knowledge, Goddess Saraswati is worshipped.

9th Day in South India is very special, as the day is being celebrated as Saraswathi Pooja or Ayudha Pooja wherein books, tools and even vehicles are being worshiped as embodiments of Godliness giving us knowledge to enrich us with wisdom, power to accomplish our tasks and prosperity to lead a healthy and peaceful long life.

And last 10th day is Dasara in North India and Vijayadasami (Victory Day) in South India. In North India, Effigies of Ravana,  his son Meghnad and his brother Kumbhakarna will be burnt as symbolic evidence of victory over evil forces by Lord Rama.

In South India, it is very auspicious to start any new venture on that Vijyadasami – victory – day.

Our E-Touch was started on the Vijayadami Day in 05-10-2003 – Sunday i.e. 17 plus years ago. (For your perusal the first issue is attached.)

In the midst of COVID – 19, the world is under serious problems in health, wealth and peace. Entire World is struggling to cope up with these unprecedented difficulties and it becomes a challenge for our researchers to find proper vaccine to win over this deathly disease.

E-Touch prays Almighty to help us all to end this dreadful disease and to regain our lost economic growth very quickly to restore normalcy in all respects.
