THIRUVANNAMALAI KARTHIGAI DEEPAM – 29 - 11 - 2020
Shiva took the form of a huge fire. Lord Vishnu took the avatar of a boar to find the end of the fire beneath the earth, while Lord Brahma took the form of a swan and flew into the sky to find the beginning of the fire. But both having failed in their attempts had to accept the supremacy of Lord Shiva.
To commemorate the event, Lord Shiva took the shape of a hill – called Thiruvannamalai - Holy Hill, which is now worshiped as Lord Shiva himself. In fact, the names Tiruvannamalai’ and `Arunachala’ denote “holy fire hill”.
The event is celebrated by lighting a Bharani Deepam at the temple of Lord Shiva at Thiruvannamalai in the early morning and Maha Deepam at the top of the hill in the evening on the same day.
In this year, it was celebrated on the 29th November 2020.
Let the Darkness of All Bad Events be burnt to ashes by the flames of Karthigai Deepam bringing all round brightness of Happiness, Health and Wealth to all in the whole world.

DEV
DIWALI – 29th & 30th
November 2020 at Varnasi
Dev Diwali
means Diwali which is being celebrated every year by Devas on the day of Kartik
Purnima at Kashi Shetra. According to the legend, on the day of Kartik Purnima,
Lord Shiva took the avatar of Tirpurari to put an end to the tyrannies of three
demons named Tarakasha, Kamalaksha and Vidyunmali. Shiva eliminated all demons
with a single arrow. This day is also called Tripurari Purnima.
This
festival of Dev Deepawali is celebrated as a symbol of the victory of Lord
Shiva over Tripurasura and it is believed that Devas come to Kashi on this day
and worship Lord Shiva and Ganga Matha as a mark of worship of Lord Shiva.
This year
Modi and Yogi Adityanath participated the Dev Diwali at Kashi on the 30th
November 2020. Ganga River ghats and temples of Kashi were lit with more than
15 lacs lamps and the entire temple complex was soaked with colourful lights
and Ganga Arti was special treats to the devotees.
