VINAYAKA CHATURTHI – 10TH SEPTEMBER 2021 – FRIDAY

Ganesh Chaturthi—or Vinayaka Chaturthi— is a ten day festival, held to honor the Hindu god of intelligence, Ganesha.

The festival is observed with prayer, public and private display of Ganesha idols, the chanting of Vedic hymns, and fasting.

On the final day of the festival, an idol of Ganesha is carried in a public procession, and plunged into a nearby body of water.

When the clay dissolves, it is believed Ganesha returns to Shiva. Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated across India and even abroad.

Ganesha is also called ‘Vigna Vinayaka’ meaning ‘One who expels worries completely’.

For any Hindu Religious functions, it is customary to perform Vinayaka Pooja first so that Lord Ganesha will ensure successful completion of the religious function.

Vinayaka is a household idol worshiped fervently by all Hindus.

LET LORD GANESA SHOWER US WITH HIS UNIQUE BLESSINGS FOR A LONG, HEALTHY AND PROSPEROUS LIFE.
