Past Wrongs Haunting Congress Party – Journey of 0 to 52!




qElection of Congress President in 1946 was crucial, as the one elected would be the First Prime Minister of India. At that election Patel got all votes, while Nehru got nil – but as Nehru was not prepared to be Deputy PM under Patel, Gandhiji had persuaded Patel to be a second in command in the India’s first cabinet. Nehru had laid the foundation for Nehru Dynastic Politics in the Congress even at the very start getting Zero vote and getting defeated, but occupied President and PM posts.

q Indra Gandhi had started her own party – Congress (R) by splitting Congress National Party and the breakaway group led by Congress Senior Leaders like K.Kamaraj, Morarji Desai etc. were called as Congress (O) – jocularly called as Syndicate. In 1971 election after the split, Indra had secured absolute majority. To be in power, Indra had split the party and alied with DMK for her power and survival.

qRajiv Gandhi got his PM post being the son of Indra Gandhi after her martyrdom and Nehru Dynastic Rule continued.

qRajiv Gandhi’s death had made Congress to select his wife Sonia to be the President of Congress Party – but, her ambition to become a Prime Minister could not succeed, but, had to be satisfied as the Remote Control Prime Minister. Congress Dynasty continued in remote form.

qNow Rahul – Congress President and Amethi MP, due to Modi Wave in the 2014 election and Modi Tsunami in 2019, could not get his ambition of being the Prime Minister fulfilled. Above all, Congress could win a mere 52 seats – losing again the status of Leader of Opposition for his party which forced Rahul to resign. Above all, as fate would have it, Rahul had to openly declare ‘ choose some one outside our family – other than self, Sona or Priyanka’!  But Congi wants Dynasty to survive. Nehru got Zero and selected as Congress President and now Rahul got Zero Like seats of 44/52, still Congi has no courage to give Party Mantle to some one other than Dynast. Rahul Losing Amethi was yet another jolt to him.  This reminds us Kamaraj’s defeat in Tamilnadu State Assembly Election by a student leader and that too, when he was Congress President!

q Congress Dynastic Politics were shaken if not broken by Modi. Modi Tsunami had also shattered the Family politics of many regional parties such as JDS, RJD, Telugu Desam, SP, NCP and even KCR parties, but DMK survived. Modi’s political Surgical Strikes had done the impossible possible and all opposition parties’ workers are really in jubilant mood  inwardly. So far so good.

Nithyashree Mahadevan , Aruna Sairam , OS Arun , Unnikrishnan , Anuradha Shriram , Tippu & Saindhavi – names that you’re most familiar with Carnatic music who are supposed to be a role model for younger generatons .  The above mentioned singers  stooped down to the lowest level possible. They all signed up to sell their music, Thyagaraja Kirthanas to christian mission by simply changing few words and singing in praise of Jesus. It is highly condemnable that they chose to replace the word Rama with Yesu and sang all the kirthanas . It is that same Rama and Krishna who showered their blessings and made them popular and these scumbags have decided to sell our kirthanas to churches who will use them ONLY to do more conversion.
